Arm, Hand and Wrist Injuries

Dislocations, fractures and sprains result because of a drop that forces the fingers or hand backward. These may also be originated by a direct hit. Such injuries are frequently seen in contact sports like lacrosse, football, hockey and cricket, etc. Cricketers may undergo impact injuries, such as broken wrist and fingers when taking a catch.

Badminton and squash players undergo from both the syndromes, although the terms do not include them. Archers incident string slap when the bowstring is released, and it slaps along the fore arm on the way back. String slaps grounds bruising and swelling because of bleeding under the skin.
